MEKEY is a tech startup committed to upholding individual creative ownership and protection in the age of AI. Founded by a young actor who experienced first-hand the impact of AI-generated content in the film industry, MEKEY was created in response to a simple thesis: creatives and IP owners should have true control over their creative assets, so that LLMs and other AI-driven tools couldn't use their assets in generative output.

MEKEY allows users to install an undetectable tag on digital assets across file formats, verifies ownership, and tracks where and how that asset is used by LLMs. This means that any owned asset, whether a logo file, a character sketch, a voice recording, or video, can be tracked and protected anywhere on the internet.

MEKEY has already blown doors in creative and tech spheres, securing partnerships with top talent agencies and artistic associations. As the brand continues to grow, there's little doubt MEKEY will become an essential tool in every creative's toolbox.

Working closely with MEKEY's founder and market leads, Former Colleagues developed a brand strategy and message framework that positions the brand as a rebellious community of AI dissidents. Former Colleagues then collaborated with Max Hofert Design and Powerbomb to develop a brand identity and expression system that blends 80s arcade aesthetics with tech-forward sensibilities.
